Default Anyone Know this GT3?

From: SwitchCars.Com

Looking to see if anyone knows this car, and can share any facts.

Miles: 23241 Exterior Color: White
Engine: 6 Cylinder Interior Color: Black
Vin: WP0AC2A99AS783278 Vehicle Price: $108,980

Vehicle Details
2010 Porsche GT3 - Pristine condition car with an impressive factory option list as well as numerous performance upgrades. Overall a VERY clean car - this car came in on trade from a Porsche collector who bought it in August with 19,500 miles. He bought it as a Porsche Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, and after the purchase spent a bunch of $$$ on upgrades. The car was only used on track a couple of times! The CPO warranty should follow the car and is valid through November 5, 2015, or 100k miles. No paintwork, no stories, just a solid car in exceptional condition. Comparable condition to cars with half the mileage. Clearbra installed on the car covering the following: Front bumper, complete front hood and fenders, windshield, and lower half of doors and rear fenders. All books, both keys, and recent paperwork including CPO inspection, ECU readout, and receipts from upgrades.

Radiator screens are OEM stock on a 2010. That is not an upgrade.

Sounds like a fantastic car, the price sounds decent and the mods are fantastic. So just be sure to do an independent PPI. But honestly don't plan on the CPO following this car with it's mods. Just look a few threads down by Inrev about his RMS not being covered by cpo due to an aftermarket exhaust prior to his purchase of the car. Here's a quote of his first post. You might be able to use this as a bargaining chip to lower the price of the car, then plan on getting an aftermarket 3rd party warrant as I dont think the factory will cover any car with ecu tune. Switch is a rennlist sponsor and has been very upstanding to my knowledge (no first hand experience, just from reading in this forum.

Car was bought at Pfaff in Toronto and CPO'd by them, then sold to my dealer who sold it to me.

Does this make any sense to you? Seems to me they are just trying every BS excuse to avoid paying that repair. Right now I'm having both dealers try to work it out.

I just wanted to add that in no way am I trying to disway you from buying this car. Just trying to help hou make an informed decision and prepare you for needing the purchase of a third party warranty. In that same thread on the last page Porka mentioned he just had his RMS replaced thru his aftermarket warranty. He said he's with Fidelity so if you have questions about how that works you may want to private message him about it and his experience. Best of luck!!! mmmmmm...motons!!!

ScottKelly.....

no worries I understood your intent and many thanks. I figured the CPO was questionable due to how it was worded...such as would, could, are always signs of NO....I guess it's the contract manager in me. The mods are nice...I think I will need a degree in moton..ary. or have we figured out how to set these up by now without a full time mechanic?

I've dealt with Doug at Switchcars on several transactions. Great guy to deal with and very honest and transparent. I am planning on buying my next car thru him as well.

That's an awesome deal with the upgrades! Especially if you're planning to do DE events.

Not a fan of Fabspeed products, but the rest is good!
