Default HELP, WOULD BUY THIS '11 GT3??

I am looking at a 9k mile 2011 gt3, (riviera blue) and here is the rev outlook:

Range 1: 236 @ 230 hours

Range 2: 71 @ 208.1 hours

Range 3: 23 @ 208.1

Range 4: 1 @ 208.1

Must have been a bad day! Not LOL!! They claim it wasn't tracked.

Currently the car has 290 hours on it.

The car is still factory warrantied until 12/2014 and CPO'd 'til 1/2017

Not so much a money thing, but I'm giving up my 04 14k mile, no over-revs gt3 and little nervous.

Anybody think the car is okay, would you buy it, at what price?

Thank you so much for your input.

i would
the range one number is not a lot. it's bouncing off limiter on the upshift. no harm. so are range 2 (71 is nothing).

range 3-4 usually causes worries, but the total count is low. it's all caused by ONE bad down shift as noted by hour count. it occured 82 hours ago. if tehre were damange, it should have shown up by now.

$90-100k not more.
100k only b/c PTS. if it's any other non PTS color, would be closer to low end of the range.
pricing range in very general, depend on many other factors, it could be as low as 80 and as high as 130.

DME shows some abuse. Most likely tracked or driven hard on the street, which may be worse.
Look at service record report on Carfax or other source. Numerous tire changes means ridden hard.

Even if the range 3's and 4's didn't hurt the engine when the event happened, I would wonder if they would mean you can't get warranty if an engine issue comes up later?
Maybe mooty's post implies that this is not a problem.

over rev on down shift is bad. but look at the rev count. 23 in range 3 adn 1 in range 4. that's .000000000001 second. ok, my math is bad. but it's not bad.

9000 miles with 290 hours? 31mph average. If tracked, not much. I'm with Mooty on this one, I'd buy it if it checks out full PPI. The counter #'s are nothing to be concerned of given length of time and the count. That range 4 could be an anomaly.

Good information, thank you guys. All of the 2,3, and 4's came at the exact same hour mark, like someone was joyriding, or clueless DE day.

Should I ask for anything extra on the PPI?

If you don't buy it, I'll buy it. Violet could use a PTS neighbor in the garage.

have the PPI done by an Independent shop, not the dealer that's selling it... Trust but verify.

do a leakdown and compression on the engine. 99% of the time comes back stellar on a mezger, but sometimes...
