If you are looking for real value, IMO, go with the Hankook RS3's -they do well on the track (only about .2 secs slower than an R compound), and are great on the street. Just guessing here, but I would say the RS3's last at a minimum of 4-5 times longer under the exact same conditions.
Interesting...I got 4 days out of my fronts and rears (actually about 4.5 days on the fronts and 5 days on the rears). I wouldn't mind going with the RS-3s but they don't make them in the RS sizes in the rear and then I'd have to run my heavy 19 inch wheels which I bend when I ride up on the gators. Besides, the 305/35/18 rears are back ordered with no ETA which makes me glad I stocked up on the shaved RA1s that Trakcar was selling.

Martin -that's hilarious bc I'm talking about the CCWs wrapped in NT-01's I bought from you pre RS!

Mooty is 100% correct on the r-comp vs street tyre comparison IMO... R comps either wear or heat cycle out way too quick and with the exception of Nittos, they cost more too....

Hankook RS3 is awesome for dry performance and not phased by heat... MPSS aren't great in the heat when pushed but fantastic on wet track and don't chunk any more than MPSCs in my experience...

Nice, how are you liking the wheels? Great, huh? Btw, what event are you and Chad heading out to next? PCA SD at Chuckwalla in early May? PCA GGR at Buttonwillow the week after?
