USC I got my db meter loaded in bag for next weekend. Will at least attempt to measure.

I read the title and went "Oh NO!" thinking you crashed your car Harry. So glad to see that was not the case.

TH was simply unknowable for me- sometimes the Angel of Death (sound guy) would visit me in the paddock, sometimes not. No rhyme or reason I could ever figure out. If you didn't have turnaways ("turnips" in Australian) with you, you were f*cked. Very frustrating.

So, I share your aggravation. And I'm on record for years now that Laguna Seca is dead to me. F those f'ing a-holes.

I wouldn't be surprised if my car registers at 110db WOT coming down the straight at Buttonwillow with the fabspeed track pipes.

I got flagged at the GGR event last weekend at 104db with my SW bypass. I've never had any sound issues before at TH, there must be something wrong with their meters.

Thankfully not that! I was a wet and slippy day but a great day to learn more about changing track conditions. I actually STFA about sound and saw your threads from before and I have to agree with you! I can see many reasons to live on the otherside of the border in your neck of the woods and we can add this to the list.

We miss you around here. Post more.... Cheers!

Their monitoring device inflates db. It's very unlikely that I'm at 106 with SW bypass. I've done 4 days at Sears Point (103db) with no problems.

They probably need to calibrate their db meter.

Not only was I asked to leave to leave TH Friday for 106db and 107db, but I also didn't run my last two sessions 3 weeks ago because they got me at 105db. Again, I've never been flagged there before in the past. I told them the meatball flag was the greatest compliment I had gotten all day and was honored that they noticed how good my car sounded (their humor apparently was not the same as mine because they sent me heading south on I-5 20 minutes later).
Harry and Slowandsteady probably hit sonic boom and exceeded db limits the way they were driving around the track in the afternoon.
I'm not going to stop tracking my car at TH but definitely have to figure out something if it is going to continue to be a problem (and it's not going to be lifting off the gas by the microphone at 15).

What exhaust set up were you running when they nailed you?

I am running Sharkwerks as well. I really don't believe it is 107db.

well, it could be over 109db with just the Sharky. It is hard to believe but check out this video from Mikymu.
