Btw, I believe that there are 2-3 of the green .2RSs out there...there is only one Vesuvio Metallic that I know of in either .1 Non-RS, .1RS, .2 non-RS, and .2RS trims and I own it. That being said, now the price is $200k for Violet.
only 2 green is USA iirc.
there's another violet three houses down from me. really.
it's a 993c2s. well driven 120,000 miles.

i told all my friends about that one. but i seem to have very slow friends beside pjs. so he ends up with all my good deals. so much so, he now have deposits with me on thing i haven't yet bought, but he already knows he's buying from me smart guy. his used or rather my new 48' TPD should arrive 2016.

People want what they can't have - it's human nature. Me? I'll take the latest and greatest. The new one coming will be EPIC.
the new is epic. but many of us are adding the new to the old.
mezger isn't better than new motor
just like more opt'n isn't always better than less option (in fact, i always pay over mkt for zero option cars and never do that for cars with options. PCCB.... psh... you can't give it to me for free. i have to chuck them away and risk breaking my back, cars with warts are of absolutely no value to me $0 is what i pay for it). you got to find what floats your boats.
now if you put the correct gund bear in the car, i will add $10,000 to your asking.
dating young secretaries (there's a reason why i work, it aint for the money) doesn't mean you dump the old wife. it's all very zen. u either get it or u dont.

I'm sure there's a few violets of the 993 spec but only one in the 997 spec.

Too late! Trading my R8 in on a .2 GT3 Saturday!

It's what I wanted in the first place but there weren't any available in Canada last year.

Best part was I missed it by a day in Canada for $188,000...not a lot of examples of cars moving to the US to sell for MORE?
Yeah, that car has me annoyed a bit... and I don't know why, heh. It's a Canadian car, imported into the US. MSRP is $205,005. They went a bit overboard on spec'ing it out, in my opinion.

For those wondering, this is the car in question: http://www.byersimports.com/certifie...758cf559b6.htm

It started at $230k in Byers' inventory. Then dropped to $225k. Now it's at $220k and has been at $220k for over a month.

Full spec:
911 GT3 RS
346 Wheels Painted Silver (except they're black now, see pics in link above)
388 Standard Sport Bucket Seats
430 Standard 19" GT3 Wheel with Center Lock
450 Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB)
474 Front Axle Lifting System
480 Manual transmission
490 Sound Package Plus
510 Contrasting Color - Guards Red
585 Cupholders
603 Dynamic Cornering Lights
619 Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone Interface
640 Sport Chrono Package Plus
672 Navigation Module for PCM
78 Black Full Leather
789 Factory Code for Exterior Color to Sample
810 Floor Mats in Interior Color
870 Universal Audio Interface
98 Custom Color Flat
P23 PCM 3.0 with Extended Navigation
XSC Porsche Crest Embossed on Headrests
XSY Seat Belts in Speed Yellow

At first Byers did a good job of hyping the market.
At this point they are just pointing out the market has peaked.
With new RS info leaking in the next few months and GT3 engines fixed we could see a pretty good drop off in value going into winter.

Or not.

Sorry for the threadjack, but does anyone know if any of the .2 RSs had carbon buckets and green stitching inside?

Seems to me the dealers reasoning for high prices is last mezger and last manual. I think they will stick to that story until we have a manual with mezger... I would not be surprised if the prices go up.
