Considering how many Green and Orange (especially, Orange) ones came to the US over MY's 2007-2008, I'm surprised they're this hard to find. Granted, there haven't been many 997.1 GT3 RS's on the market over the past couple months, but I keep a lookout, and they're usually White, Black, or sometimes Silver.

I've seen 3 silver trade hands in a year. Mine, Jenner, and Tasman, they're not common. I am aware of 1 or 2 other silver in SoCal. Silver was ordered the least.

Casual observation, Orange, Black, and White seem to come up most often.

Production-wise:
Orange > Black > White > Green > Silver

2007 USA: 229 total = 49 black, 25 silver, 90 orange, 25 green, 40 white
2008 USA: 93 total = 19 black, 5 silver, 32 orange, 18 green, 19 white
USA: 322 total = 68 black, 30 silver, 122 orange, 43 green, 59 white

GT3 Registry represents 322 of 413 shipped to USA, 78% of total USA shipments

That said Green was my first choice, GOOD LUCK. If you have the $190k, look at that car Mooty mentions!!!!

Mooty's is out of my price range. I know I will have to be patient and act quickly if the right car comes along. Wish me luck.

Indeed. I'm surprised too, to see that many Silver ones pop up. Haven't seen as many Orange ones as I'd have expected, to be honest.

Good luck! Be ready to act. Thing is, I'm curious to see how things pan out when the 991 GT3 RS is announced. There may be a spike, they might plummet as some people (not on Rennlist) start dumping their 997.x GT3 RS's. Who knows. The effect of the 991 GT3 coming in PDK only has already impacted values, so that's long been absorbed into the market.

Nah, I still prefer gold to red.

Btw, I believe that there are 2-3 of the green .2RSs out there...there is only one Vesuvio Metallic that I know of in either .1 Non-RS, .1RS, .2 non-RS, and .2RS trims and I own it. That being said, now the price is $200k for Violet.

It's kind of funny (in a completely ironic and sadistic way of course) that when I entered the market for a GT3 in spring of 2013, I found a 26k mile green 997.1 RS listed for $86k that I was genuinely interested in, only to learn that it sold the day I inquired about it. The car had been available for a few weeks too, so it didn't sell in a day or anything.

I'm thrilled I got my 997.2 RS in white/gold to be fair about it, but it's just funny to me that the 'other' car I could have had if I was a bit quicker was a 997.1 RS in green. I had no idea that color was, or would become, so sought after!

You should raise your price. There's a Riviera blue one for over $220,000...

Best part was I missed it by a day in Canada for $188,000...not a lot of examples of cars moving to the US to sell for MORE?

A few .2 RS in Canada for $135,000-ish.

The 07 orange I almost purchased last summer was listed at $92k at Napleton. Missed the boat!

The primary reason I see for wanting a 997.2 GT3 RS over the incoming 991 RS is the manual shifter. The Mezler engine is proven, but I'm confident Porsche will get the new one right. What else would the old one have over the newer technology? Cannot see why anyone would pay even dollars for an older RS.

People want what they can't have - it's human nature. Me? I'll take the latest and greatest. The new one coming will be EPIC.
