That was the plan!

Look at Umbrella Auto Design. They're a local outfit up here in the NW, they have a system that's compact, and works with aftermarket coilovers. The RWB that was built up here in the NW is sporting a lift by them. Nice thing is when they're down, they don't alter the handling at all...

Mine for the front only was $2900... That's just shy of only 3 porsche points.

Yeah there will be some low mileage samples that are mint. Those will command some serious premium though. I'd like to find a 7.2 GT3 or 7.2 RS soon...the demand for these cars will only get stronger.

The 5 RS's at Byers haven't moved in how many months. I guess the ceiling to the market is somewhere below their asking prices.

It will be interesting to see what happens with prices when whatever the issue is with the 991's is announced, especially if it has something to do with the internals of the motor and the 991 RS is delayed.

Yeah, they've sat there for a long, long time. And the prices have (very) slowly inched downward at Byers. In the past, when the market was getting up to these absurd prices, things would sell within a week (or even days). GT3 RS 4.0's wouldn't last more than 12 - 24 hours, but now there are a few that have sat for a while at their respective high list prices.

I'd say the ceiling is definitely a bit below their crazy asking prices. And agreed that it has actually cooled down over the past couple months. The 991's lack of manual, and the 991 GT3's current stop sale / fire woes seem to have already been factored in. In fact, the stop sale didn't seem to impact the older generation prices much because of how hiked up they have gotten (in my opinion).

From what I'm seeing in the Canadian market:
997 GT3/RS prices have increased.
The reason - no manual & no race derived motor in the new GT3, so guys aren't selling their current cars. Also, there is little stock to begin with & the week Canadian dollars vs. the USD, so going down south to pickup a car results in no cost savings.

I'd like to pickup a new 991GT3, however I can't bring myself to sell my 997.1RS & with prices increasing makes it more difficult. I need to start my collection by adding a 964 & 991GT3.
