Yep. They did my 6GT3 and my RS this week. They have also pinned failed weld jobs.

Changing coolant to waterwetter is a bandaid. Why u say pinning vs welding is a bandaid? U have quantitative evidence that one is better than either ie welding or pinning or u just said it because yours was welded? Mike

With a (properly performed & complete joint penetration) weld you're creating a continuous part. With a pin you're complicating the assembly with additional fasteners and instead of addressing the sealing problem (the failed or failing glue), you're merely preventing the fitting from catastrophic failure. I'm not saying the latter wont work, I just feel that its the inferior option of the two.

Regarding the failed welds post above - the caveat in my recommendation is that the welds should be performed by someone who knows what they are doing. A properly performed weld is always stronger than the base metal.

I have no motivation to argue either case - just stating my opinion. Only one of these fixed would bear either of my PE stamps.

But how is pinking a bandaid? Do u have evidence to prove otherwise? Can u say one is between than the other by theory? Have u seen failures with pinning? Mike

My fallback is to bring c63 instead of 4.0, if all else fails.
There just so happens to be a secret warehouse near San Jose where GT3s and trailers are stored. Check with mooty.

My back up plan is my sons 944 in case the other car can't stay below the 103db.

So you might have some competition in the back of the group.

Next time! I'd love to use the Mooty parking lot once I get a setup to pull the car up and back.... I can always find a reason to be in palo alto (here now! ... ), leaving car on trailer at office may cause odd looks. :-)

if you in PA, then you need enclosed trailer. throw some mud on it.
tell co worker it's horse trailer (you are next to woodside, one of the most $ horse country in the nation). you fit right in. and it's horse not car, you are good with green ppl too. (that's what i call environmentalists).

No kidding, in los altos hills/PA, right next to horse fields. Very green here, in many ways. I prefer LA where we live, we like cars there. Here they don't like so much. Almost hit bicycle this morning clown turned right right in front of me while I was making a right. I think I park RS here it gets keyed. Good idea on the mud camo. But we don't have Chef Chu in LA LOL

yes PA, menlo, woodside all have cyclist. i just biffed 3 weeks ago. that didn't stop me. next day antoehr 25 miles. i just can't walk, but once i get on the saddle, i can ride. only hurts when walking or doing house chores or doing work. driving and riding is ok.

u park the RS at my house next time, not the trailer. just the RS.
then from my place to TH is 190 miles.

but then once you see all the parts in the garage, your wallet may feel some pain.
