Do same on other side
Car is up on 4 stands in just a few minutes

I prefer this method as when the rear stands are on the rear subframe it makes the access very tight as the stands are right where I seem to want to be. Also makes access to oil tank a little tight.

@AEsco48 The Esco stands are very nice. You might want to consider 2 of those + 2 jackpoint stands.
But how do get jack + jack hat under car to begin jacking?

My low profile jack with the low profile pad JUST fits, barely. My car is just a tick lower than stock though. if you're lowered, hard to find one that will work. In that case, only option to use the method I posted is to use a 2nd jack and jack up 1-2" from the engine case or cross member, or front jack point.

ah, cool
that is what drove me nuts about the process - the "pre-jack" to get the car high enough to fit everything

You'd totally cream me in the DE Pit Stop Cup.

We see this with Cup cars as they are so low. They are also a pain to get in and out for driving up on 2x lumber and those clutches don't like to be feathered. We just jack the car without the pad at the factory lift point until the tire comes off the ground, slide the piece of 2x under the tire and lower the car. Now there's room for the pad. Up you go and put the Jackpoint stand in place. After the first corner - no more pre-jacking is necessary. Another option is a floor jack that goes down to 2.5" minimum lift height (most are 3.5"). I think AC and Omega offer such jacks.
