Default My new to me 7.1GT3

Happy Valentines to me- I escaped out of NY yesterday to find my GT3 delivered from the east coast.

I picked up a 2007 White GT3
Nav, Sports Chrono, sounds plus, guard LSD, new MPSS, CF, steel brakes.

I sold my 01 Turbo that has been my weekend/track car two weeks ago and had been looking for a 3 for the past few months. I was trying to make my Turbo into a track beast but quickly determined I was using the wrong platform. I constantly fought brake fade and my PSS9s were just too soft.

I've only had a few outings in the 3 so far but I'm already totally impressed. The interior, nav, stereo looks are light years above my 01. The sound (although stock for now until my Sharkwerks bypass gets installed) is incredible! That sport button is always engaged. I find the suspension in normal mode quite compliant and have similar ground clearance as my turbo and it seems to have slightly more ground clearance than the turbo up front.

Mods:
Ordered CCW C140s gloss black, wrapped with NT01s (245 & 305 x 18).
Sharkwerks Bypass
TC Design bar
6-pts
Sharkwerks fire extinguisher system
GT3 Euro seats (996 design but should work for track duty)

Pics to follow mine are too big on the iphone.

Excellent! Are you planning on any CFRA days (this is Mike who ran with you in my 6GT3 2 years ago). My car is headed to Sharkwerks next week.

These cars are fantastic. I'm sure you'll love yours. I also upgraded from a 996TT to the 997.1 GT3 last year. Love it. Such a blast on the track. Enjoy.

Although I'm stuck in NY though - my car hasn't moved though bc of the damn snow.

Come on out and join us on the left coast. We started our track season a few weeks ago. :-)

Thanks for the congrats all and yes I do plan on hitting all of the CFRA events this year and maybe something else ahead of these for a shakedown and intro to the car.

A couple of crappy iPhone pics and need to get her out for a photo Opp with her new shoes. I have an appt with TC mid March to get the car sorted and safe.

Drove it to work yesterday and was impressed with the highway performance and torque curve. The soundtrack is just soooo much better than the turbo, even after trying 6x different systems- stock GT3 is great... Sharkwerk bypass can't wait!
