Yes cheaper now, I do work with Sicom USA directly testing the product, and so far so good, specially coming from a REALLY poor core.
Price here is about 6K for all 4 corners and includes shipping both ways to EU.

That is competitive. Looks like the days of ceramic users getting butt-r*ped may end soon... about goddamn time!

I was getting resigned to the possibility that my 991 order will come with steels. Now you're giving me hope

May I ask how 11lbs compares with the factory 380s ?

Great thread, following with interest.

Factory 380's (Gen 997.2 with the slightly lighter hats) are around 12lbs IIRC. Give or take a pound but definitely sub-13. Rears are slightly lighter but not by much.

On a related but different note: I know from interacting with the guys at Finspeed that they're working on some type of ultralight cast iron rotors that will be in the 14-16lb zip code (vs. stock 380mm irons coming in at 21-22lbs). Am due to try a set of those things when they are ready. For me the jury is still out on whether ceramics are justified on track but I'm glad the range of options has increased considerably the last 12 months.

Sorry I am a bit late to the thread

I run the replacement rotors and I am completely happy with their performance

I changed from Steel rotors though not PCCB so I could compare the difference in that regard

Thanks, Mike

That's better user info than I have from anywhere else.

Some pictures of my Surface Transforms(Alcon branded) 390mm and 360mm rotors and a very accurate weight comparison w/PCCB's. I have access to a calibrated electronic lab balance that weighs to w/i 0.1g
ST front 12.79 lbs
PCCB 380 front 12.16 lbs
ST rear 11.24 lbs
PCCB 350 rear 10.44 lbs
Surface transforms are very close in weight to PCCB. If diameters were equal I doubt the ST would be lighter though.
Crex, was the ST 396 a custom order? Porsche or GTR? They don't list a 396 on their site.

Hi Steve

youre welcome

Certainly the consistency of the feel even during long sessions is great, the pedal feel is good too and that's wil the OEM calipers

For those who guided me when selecting some had the complete kit and there were positives in using the MovIt calipers as well

If I recall the complete systems permit the Gen 3 rotors which are 40mm thick and have greater cooling properties but it wasn't a consideration for me at that time.

On another thread MovIT seem to be getting a hard time over delivery, due to corporate changes, but I can say my experience with them was first rate start to finish and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.

Very nice--I double checked--the ST fronts (not Alcon branded but straight-up ST) are advertised as 392mm. Sorry for the misquote earlier. The kit includes spacers to push out the front calipers to fit the new rotor diameter. Of note, the ST hat design is notably different from those in your pics (see my earlier snapshots of the actual product we received). Perhaps this could account for a bit of weight saving over your figures?

Sorry I misspoke about the pricing with SurfaceTransforms. They're about $10k per axle.
