Would all effects of salt water damage be visible/apparent a year after Sandy?

salt water damaged RS is a parts car. Nobody should be allowed to sell it for road use.

I don't see anything wrong with selling a salt water damaged car with salvage title so long as there is full and accurate disclosure. What I'd like to know is exactly how deep was the water and how quickly was it washed.

Having friends who live on waterfront (salt) property it's stunning the effects that the moisture from the salt air has on their cars, houses, outdoor furniture, outdoor grills. I'm not against buying a salvage title vehicle, one of my trucks was bought that way as i saw the damage, had damage looked at and fixed by a pro and i paid 50% less then street price for it.

i agree with previous comments that this car might be 'worth' a look in the 80's or 90's.

i am sorry but $110-115k even would be a crazy amount to pay for something with saltwater damage and a salvage title... good luck EVER reselling the car...

i think that the AD seller here has been transparent and honest, so this is not about anything dishonest, i just would be shocked to see someone pay more than about $80k for this car...

Probably a good idea because they were not doing themselves any favors keeping it up

They never listed it on their website, so obviously they were not very proud of the history.

Anybody grab the vin?

I was surprised to see the listing. It was of no interest to me.

Have to say that I think it was utterly pathetic for Isringhausen to have listed that car for sale on such a well educated Porsche community site such as Rennlist. The mods should have left the ad up to teach them a lesson....

Really poor taste, but I guess its just another day in the life of a dealer.

I saw this post last night and didn't think anything of it. Saw it just now and roared with laughter.
