I picked up a used xbox and forza 4 yesterday. No wheel yet.

I ran some laps at Road America, since I know that track pretty well. I thought that it was pretty realistic. It's kind of hard to steer with the regular controller. Maybe I shouldn't have started my training runs with the Ruf Turbo. It showed a disturbing attraction to the Armco.

Thanks for all of your helpful suggestions.

Dantzig, did you try to change some of the difficulty features? Like turning traction control off, ABS off, changing the steering setup on the controller?

I have spent a total of about an hour with it, and have essentially no previous gaming experience. I just left it on easy, where it does the braking (if you let off the throttle!). I didn't make any other changes. I switched cars to the Mini and was able to flog that around the track with a lot more success. I'll get there.

Just a follow up on this post. Nurburgring was just released yesterday for Forza 5/Xbox one. It is, the best version of the Ring I have seen to date. However, we are still waiting for the release of the Porsche pack for Forza 5. In the meantime, I'm driving Ferrari with my 458 wheel...
