20% off and strashek could ship to my Oregon office - no sales tax - and pick up in Seattle

Could sell his pccbs and be ahead $wise

Just sayin :-)

I was referring to consumer damptrniocs. if u want MDs, then yes, good stuff ain't cheap. and u don't need to do much tuning. just push the button.

So Mooty, any supporting evidence on the CS/MDS Bilstein stuff? I know the consumer Damptronics stuff is entry-level, but I'm being told that the MDS stuff is very well suited to our cars and should hold up well, rebuildable, used in pro Motorsport. While I'd love to get a set of 3-way JRZ shocks, is it worth the money given the few times I'll actually mess around with the rebound/dampening, etc.

Yeah, going to take a few months to recover from the upgrade cost... So making my car anywhere a trick as PJs is a stretch. K, Ed...in the next week. James has my car right now to do the GT internals and mount up the ST kit. And the Trofeos that came on the car from the previous owner... Super sketchy, even in dry cold weather. Chomping at the bit to get out and take some turns...

thats the hi-end Bilstein stuff.
Was looking at them in 2011 before i had had custom shocks built.

Great feedback all. PJ, thanks for the link on the Motons. Yeah, I'm thinking to do a bunch of the suspension stuff up-front... But my PCCBs are going to be all nice and bubble-wrapped by the end of the week. Really spendy Christmas ornaments, sell them to pay for other goodies, or keep em on the shelf? OK, back to work. Hey what are you guys doing for ducting? Cup, GT2, As is?

I'd do the dog bones and toe-steer (with lock out plates) in the rear. Try to keep the PCCB's for when/if you sell the car. In terms of ducting yes those work....

The front stuff... on a street car... I'd probably avoid.

I wrapped and kept mine for a long time... until recently

why?
1. sell them while they are worth something -- they only work on 997.1 GT3/RS and GT2... they are not sized for the 991 GT3...
2. at this point in the 997.1 GT lifespan, I figure there are more than a few guys looking for a good used option (which there were based on the # of offers I received, mostly low ***** but offers none the less)
3. As time moves forward, I think the 997.1 pccbs become less relevant as the aftermarket ccb options are growing (movit, brembo, etc)

for some strange reason I keep holding on to the stock seats though

Ducting... GT2 rear brake ducts on mine -- seem fine for my use.

Personally I would use the big yellows and add aftermarket steel rotors and pads.
I believe 997 Cup steel rotors also fit in them.

As for Ducting, the GT2 stuff is fine but if you install adjustable links in the rear the Ducts have nothing to hold onto.

I tried zip tying all my stock ducts up front on my adjustable links and they only fall off with time. Couldnt even attach the GT2 ducts to my rear.

I have been thinking about fabricating a base for my stock seats to use in the garage and in the office.
Posche sell a complete chair but i am unsure how close of a match it is to a car seat.

Don't ask about the other one... but the passenger seat was quickly converted to an office chair (replica GT3 Euro seat... IMHO not to be used in any capacity beyond its current purpose).
