Default 991 GT3 for rent on track soon?

Came across this :

No affiliation, but tempting nonetheless... Too bad I'm on the East Coast, but for 50$ a lap you can experience some pretty nice cars on the track!
Seeing a Corvette C7 with the Z51 pkg available already,it makes you wonder if a 991 GT3 will be available next year...?
I think it's a perfect opportunity to experience one of these cars before purchasing...

I've used them a couple of times. Very much liked them. Instructors I had were good and encouraged you to push the car as hard as you wanted if you kept the proper lines.

Good luck with the GT3 though since there will be a long line to get one. If they do get one, I'll be on a plane to Vegas

That's very encouraging to hear!
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Maybe I'll give them a try on my next trip to Vegas... I already know which one I'll pick : Fiat 430 Scud

I have several friends that have done this and we've done a team building event here (unfortunately I wasn't able to make it!) and I've heard nothing but positive things about it… other than the cost :-)

Actually I just came back from Vegas and done 5 laps with a 458.

Nice car to drive easily, but not as exciting as my RS. I told my instructor that I have some track experiences, but he still treated me like a beginner. Telling me exactly when to brake, turn, upshifts and downshifts. He did not encourage or allow me to upshift close to red line, and told me to brake much earlier than I would love to. The instructions are very useful for someone that has no track experience, but I found them way too annoying. Guess I was just out of luck with this instructor...

Reading their website briefly I didn't realize that you have to have an instructor present... Can you go out on your own?
Not that I wouldn't need an instructor...

Gave them a try a couple yrs back... Most fun Ive had since my last track event in the early nineties.

Did 8 laps in a Superleggera with Richie Hearn and 8 laps in a 458 with the annoying guy. I was surprised but they tried to help you get everything out of each car. Old track was in infield. New track much better

I'm sure they have a GT3 coming.. Everything was flappy paddles even back then for obvious reasons. Give it a try can't do it any cheaper for sure.. I will def go back next time..

always will have an instructor on the side.

my conclusion it is not worth the money unless you have never tracked before, are a novice, or you plan to buy a certain car and want to try it out on track.

I paid $399 for 5 laps in a 458 that lasted maybe 5 to 7 minutes. Go downtown and the same money can buy you private lap dances for one hour.

I don't think any cars in their lineup can excite me better than my own .2RS.

A lot of guys spend $399.00 in 5-7 minutes while in Vegas, and not always with their clothes on…

You did alright

Thanks!

That's the reason I've posted this... I mean, who's going to give me a 991 GT3(that if they'll have it available) to try on track?! Not to mention a Ferrari...

Our track club owner/leader/king (Putnam Park) has purchased a 991 GT3 due in April or so for club member rental--real driving, just like we drive our GT3s. Can't wait! Silver with black wheels.

1.8 mi 10 turn, very safe track, 30 miles east of Indy. I have no financial interest in the company, but am a founding member and love it.

Awesome garages with air, ceiling fans and electric at every bay, Clubhouse with everything (first class amenities--leather, stainless, high-def, bar, billiards, darts, shuffleboard, first rate locker rooms, etc. You can get all of the details by just searching Putnam Park online and following the links. Not sure if I can legally post anything about cost, etc. on this site, but I can tell you it is a bargain compared to most driving clubs, with way more open track time per year.

I sent you a PM with more info.
