I ordered this thinking that it had to be too good to be true at the price, so II wasn't expecting much for my $6.35 USD.

What I received were the actual Porsche factory shop manuals on DVD. It comes from the U.K.

Copyright infringement? Probably.

The main problem is that Porsche no longer do paper manuals, all of the manuals are incorporated in to the PIWIS system. I don't think you'll be able to find a Gen II download of the manual for a long time.

Thanks for the link! Did anyone see a 997.2 version? I was poking around and couldn't find anything.

You might want to contact the ebay seller and see if he has it. The 997.1 disc is the real deal and contains all the GT3 supplemental information. This is not a Bentley manual, it is gen-u-wine Porsche.

I would gladly have paid 10X the price considering what Porsche charges for the same thing.

I have a feeling that these DVD manuals may not be available from this source much longer once Porsche unleashes their lawyers...

I ordered this manual after reading the original posting and the manual on dvd arrived yesterday. The dvd covers the Carrera/Carrera S with the M96 M97 engine, but the GT3 service manual supplements are not on the dvd. Some GT3 marketing info (appears to be a technical primer for dealer sales people) is on the dvd, but there is nothing in the way of hard mechanical repair data for the Metzger engine or GT3 transmission on the disc. Still, this manual may be a good reference for general repairs to your GT3 not involving the engine or transmission.
