Default Collision repair Orange county

Wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a good Porsche certified body shop in Orange County/LA area?

I was recently rear ended in my 07 RS on the freeway after a SUV rear-ended a Prius and pushed the Prius into me.

Any thoughts on collecting diminished value from the insurance company?

Thanks

Tim

yikes... hope you are ok. bumper cosmetic damage or involving the decklid also? hope nothing major.

try 911 design guys in montebello. Kind of far but they only do Porsche cars.

Please me us updated how diminished value thing works. THere was another thread here about it and it has certain formula based on amount of damage.

Great time to swap over to a factory Euro rear bumper. Insurance wont mind as both bumpers are approx same price.

Let em know if you want it.

As far as resale value is concerned it will be on the carfax so take lots of pictures of damage both with bumper on and off.
When resale time comes you will want documentation to show before and after.

Light accident/repair can drop resale by 5-10k depending on the extent of damage.

Sometimes damage is as easy as fender or bumper replacement. No longer factory paint but structure is sound.

Buyer will want to know details.

European Collision Center - Downey - Ask for Ron Ruff. Ron has been doing great work on Porsche's since his days at Allan Johnson Racing and Porsche in San Diego 30 years ago. They have done work for me on many cars and some of my most **** friends use them as well. They have repaired my Panamera Turbo (I also got hit), did some rock chip paint work on my 997 Turbo Cab and several other projects in the past.

They are part of the McKenna Auto Group - they have all the best equipment and great people working there.

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions!

So from my initial diagnosis it looks like some bumper damage, busted left tailight, and maybe some minor damage to my GMG exhaust. From what I can tell there's no damage to the decklid.

I was thinking about the euro bumper conversion since I need a new one.

Anyone know what's involved in a LED tail light conversion since I need those replaced too?

stay away from LED conversion on a 997.1RS. It gives the impression that the car was in an accident/repair.
Keep it period correct.
