Smile Will I fit in a GT3?

I'm selling A Ferrari 550 Maranello and want to return to Porsche. As I narrow my search I'm focusing on a 2010 GT3 and I have lots of questions, but one is top of mind. I'm a big guy at 6'3" @ 220lbs, not too wide in the middle but big never the less. I always liked that Porsche fit big guys which isn't often the case with interesting cars. I'm wondering about the GT3 sports seats with their significant bolsters. I realize I need to sit in one, but that often only tells half the story with the full story revealed through extended time in the car, which might not be possible. This will be primarily driven on the street and I leaning toward a 2010 or newer due to comfort considerations as extended road drives would be in the offing. Any advice here would be greatly appreciated, I'm excited!

I am 6'2" 210ish with larger chest and shoulders and fit fine in my previous 2007
GT3, also fit fine in a previous 2005 Turbo cab. 911s seem to have gotten a bit
larger inside, especially leg room, over the years. the 79 Turbo and 84 cab I
owned were long arm short leg cars, not the case any more.

Forgot to mention, I am more leg than torso, 36 in inseam.

You may want to stay away from the GT2 sport bucket seat.

The stock adaptive sport seat will fit you nice. And the seat goes very far back.

The 997 series is comfortable.

6' 5"
260 lb
GT2 seats, sport buckets are too tight
take the seat bottom out for helmet room
No worries

I had the same car and you should fit. The 997 is less rakish and has ample leg room.

6' 235. I also have L4/L5 disk issues (read bad lower back). The sports seats were super comfortable to me. Have buckets now and they are snug but I've done several hours in them without them being punishing. My record in the sports seats was LA to Reno (7+ hours). Also have a friend about your size who had a 4.0 RS with buckets and he was fine too.

Initial suggestion would be to find a local Rennlister (if possible) or maybe a dealer for an extended "sit" or drive and see how it feels.

Peter and Jenks fit and they're some big boys.

So I don't see why you couldn't fit.

Thanks guys, appreciate the insights. I have a lot to learn before landing on a specific model. I'll be asking for more advice soon...

I'm 6-5 long torso. The regular seats fit me better- and helmet fits ok.

The sport buckets are tough- they don't recline or adjust enough for me.
I'm still working on a solution for that.

6'3, 210, sport buckets fit fine.

The 911's have always been the one sports car that I don't feel like my head is being squished by the roof!

Just lift the front of the GT2 seats by about 1/2 inch and it was perfect for me 6'4" 260

I'm 6'1 and 240....no problem getting in and out of the GT3. There's plenty of room to move the seat back further if I grow tall overnight.
