Default GT3RS - AutoTrader vs eBay vs Carscom

Guys....question.... it seems that doing a search on my car under AutoTrader is a bit tricky because they only list the 911, and even with advanced search it still pulls extra garbage for a potential buyer. (I had someone at work try to find the car, new the zip and everything and still had a hard time even with GT3RS in the search)

Two questions. Is there some special "trick" so that someone looking for an RS can find it easier..... or and onto question two, is Cars.com or eBay any better? (I've only put a car on eBay once about 6yrs ago.... Pantera....but that's about it)

Thoughts and thanks!

You can filter by price in addition to what you're doing - setting it from 120 to 150k should get you most of the RSs on the market.

I agree - autotrader is a lot more cumbersome to use than cars.com, but it gets the most hits and has the most inventory...

When they sent a survey back I said they need to just list all the models and not just "911". They do with many of the other brands.

I found it best to do the advanced search, limit standard shift, key words GT3, and sort by high dollars...some aren't listed as RS, but that usually gets you what's out there!

Hmm...........I will check and thanks for the input so far. (Still nuts, when I tell someone where my car is, give them the zip, even the price range and hard to find....although not sure of their PC skills) :-)

I had luck finding my GT3 with globalautosports.com You can narrow down to only GT3(RS)'s, among others. Good luck

I'm not affiliated with that site in anyway.

The key is manual transmission plus gt3. Rarely have any extra garbage.

Do you have your car listed here? This is one of the best places to sell it.

Good point. (I have someone that will call with a yes/no tonight) and if nothing there I'll do Rennlist and eBay tomorrow. I do like the larger pics and easy search for eBay. One nice thing about Rennlist, I think you can weed-out the people, and anyone serious can search locally, or, knows the person though chats which probably makes the total deal much more tolerable and safe.

Agree with you The 993 I am currently selling I purchased based on it being advertised here. I hope you have sold it but if you haven't put an add in this forum plus the classified section. There are usually less tire kickers on Rennlist then on sites like eBay. Keep us posted.

Bill....unsure. (Still waiting for an honest person to follow-thru). Had a local planned to come Sunday 1pm, no call, no show. Just part of the car game. (Actually when Vicky gets home tonight and allows me to use the credit card I'm gonna become a member (which I should have done ages ago) and put it out here as some had suggested. Then probably also eBay this week.

As Allan said....hsssss is one of the top choices next.
