Default sharkwerks exhaust for 997 gt2

Has anyone here experience of sharkwerks gt2 exhaust? It looks very loud but the vid on their site, it doesnt sound that loud. It is basically removing the titanium muffler and replacing it with crossed pipes keeping the oem cats. I am about to order but wanted to hear if anyone had heard it irl. I can only find one vid of it. Also i am replacing the cats to 100cell or 200cell. Any ideas where i can order that? Thanks in advance!

Really glad you enjoy it.

Since this thread is about the Gt2 exhaust, which we don't discuss much maybe I can help a bit

Personally I don't think any GT2 exhaust can be quite as sexy sounding as the GT3 exhaust but that's because of the NA, high revving nature of the GT3. Still though, I think our GT2 system is about as good as you can hope and expect for with a GT2, since they are a bit tame from the factory.

While running stock cats, the system is not super loud. You can still have a conversation with a passenger and drive on the freeway without drone. You can watch videos on the 9A1 turbo car with our similar bypass (but it's actually better sounding on the GT2 since they are different engines):

It has raspy tones and little pops, but it's not overly loud or obnoxious, which is often the case with full exhaust systems on the TT cars that change the cats as well. And some people that buy this system do change the cats but that would make it a bit louder to be sure. If you change the cats, expect all those features to be amplified, more turbo noise etc. If you're concerned about it being too loud, I would recommend doing one upgrade first instead of both at the same time. You can always switch the parts back to stock as well.

I've heard a lot of exhausts on these cars and think the GT2 system with our center works best and is trouble free since the cats are typically left stock.

PS - If you decide you want this GT2 system, please be aware we build these to order and it might be a couple weeks to complete your system.
