Hesitated to add my comment earlier, but Club racing needs all of us to insure the other guy gets home in one piece and we all see too may loose cannons these days.
Good for you Peter. Please accept my appologies.

KaiB, no worries at all.
I did write I went off, in the next race the Marlboro car and the Martini car go waaaayyyy off and these guys are the veterans!
I was not assertive enough still, but I'm learning and don't want to wreck the first weekend :-)
My second race was much, better start, better driving and some crazy entertaining driving in front of me. I was the perfect camera car for this one and happy I could keep up. I finished better than where I started and got me best lap in the car the second to last lap. Pretty sure another few days I would have found some seconds...

Thanks; Well Teo just ran a 2:39 and Mark ran a 2:37 in my renal car.
I would have tried braking the 40 as well but not driving today.
I have plenty of time to sample stuff, I may rent this car again.
Next up is a CUP car.
They are pretty slow, but that is a good thing, if anyone wants to try racing, you can do no better than rent from these guys. Bring suit, helmet and credit card and they do everything but the driving! Because its pretty slow you don't have the fear like I have in a street car 160Mph+ when things go not as planned.
Grady ran a 2:24 in his street RS in the race and he got scaled at 3489lbs. My car was scaled at 2890. That is inclusing the driver when they weigh you straight coming off the track.
Still it is racing, so the better you want to do, the more you have to spend. I killed 1 set of Hoosiers in 3 races.
You of course also pay for the luxury of a AC hospitality trailer, catering etc. etc. This was a first class setup IMHO and the price was reasonable considering.
It gets more expensive if you want your relic to be so that you can love it, than it is CUP car money. They may be cheaper to repair but I seen a lot of break downs and parts falling off cars. And 996 CUPs should not cost more than an RS on track..
Great experience and I would anyone in advanced DE advise to try it at least once!!
