Default GOOD LUCK LADDIE !

Enjoy and have fun Peter! I CHUMP'ed a couple of times in the past two years and just recently sold my GT3. To replace it, I purchased a super track prepped 993 with full cage and I may turn it into a full-on club racer (to go flat out!) in the next year or two.

Cheers!

RA is a big speed track, so I agree that it's good to get your license in a lower hp car. This event is famous for wadding up GT3's in the kink. Be careful out there, and have fun!

I've been here twice, so I hope I remember the basics :-)

I plan on doing my first there in Oct in a Chump car, Maybe PCA or NASA next yr

See you at Daytona first wknd of dec maybe???
I don't know about this racing thing, we will find out
Daytona may be possible in Dec. but after this event any track day that I can make will be good. I hope to have some time this winter. Working hard to make work less...

:-) I did a few Lemons Races, this should be similar LOL.

This is the car; Good news is that I fit in it, but only barely I did see camera's and the VBox and it looks cool.

The bad part is these pedals are freaking weird and after practicing getting in and out a few times and starting the car to practice shifting I never was able to find 4th. gear. This is gonna be hard!!

Thanks!
Just did the first session.
The car has tiny mirrors that never seem to show the cars behind me LOL
These guys are racers so I'm sure they will figure it out.

Hard to tell if I'm still minutes off the pace or already seconds :-)
Have not even figured out what gear to be in.

They are taking the seat rails out because I did not fit with helmet on after all.
Other than that these relics seem very drivable and fun.

Told you about the floor mounted pedals. It is weird, but you will get use to it. Have a few drinks and you will forget about the pedals and you will do it naturally.

other then that

FLAT FLAT FLAT FLAT FLAT out.

Peter ....about the mirrors....just run your line and let them find there way around if they are faster.
If you finish dead last you still get your rookie license as long as there are no incidents.
Have a really good time.

I did 2 sessions today.
Last one was a little wet still. 2.48 laptime whatever that means before I spun in Canada Corner. Not my best corner ;-)

200% driver error, there was no way it wasn't gonna spin LOL

Car is good, fun to do at very safe speeds.
This is a challenge!!

Rule 1: Have fun!
Rule 2: Keep the shiny side up!

The rest will fall into place......

After driving several different vintages of 911's you will find they all have the same inherent and familiar feel behind the wheel......that's one of the many things that make them so special.

Sounds like things are going ok. I have never felt good about getting through Canada Corner either. Have fun. Jealous that I'm not there.
