...too many homers. I own a Porsche and love it, but they are not the only quality cars built.

Only you can decide. They are different animals.

The R8 is an exotic that can be used every day. It's much more comfortable and a great long-distance cruiser. It's very capable for the occasional track day. It does attract much more attention, although it's not bad attention. A bit less practical as the trunk is small. Glorious sound, V8 or V10. The V8 is a bit more nimble. It seems wider than it is and is harder to park as the doors are huge. Service costs are lower, insurance is more.

The GT3 is pretty close to a race car that has been detuned slightly for the street. It's louder, had a rougher ride, and a heavy clutch. Not great for heavy traffic or daily use, although people use it as such. Where it shines is at the track. It's a bit more practical as there is more storage space and it's easier to park as it's smaller. Around here, Porsches don't get much attention outside of a GT3RS in clown colors.

You can't go wrong either way, but only one will be right for you. A good excuse to drive both.

I don't know about that man, my wife and I got startled by a small mob in down town scottsdale this last Friday - these kids were clearly a little drunk (and it was only 9:00pm!).

Have both, love both.

5.2 in a manual and is a blast. Comfy, fun on the track if the GT3 needs tires and great to go out for a blast on the weekend or a night on the town with the wife.

Much more livable car that GT pcar. Wife doenst have to climb around the cage either

Like the rest said, depends on your plans and how often you'll be in it.

Good news is you won't be disappointed with either
