Guess I need to make more money so I just don't care. (Or purchase a track rat!)

One thing I couldn't seem to move past was tracking it. I bought it for track then only put 6 days on it in a bit over two years. I was never quite comfortable hurling it as hard as I wanted for fear of a ding, dent or shunt.

you guys go about this all wrong. What you need to do is hang out with mooty, sign up with DE Cup, get to know mooty's cars and live vicariously as he change hand RS and Cup faster than you can blink. It is as good as it gets

drl: Given your track bug, what would you buy if you sold the RS? Full race car?
Living vicariously thru Mooty has probably saved me from buying a couple of cars in the past few years

That's funny. I was planning on building something light and reliable too - Then I bought the GT3 since it already had everything I planned to do to a 997S. Probably saved a few bucks (and busted knuckles) too.

Keith!!!!!
You know a few years ago I had a pretty violent crash at the Glen in my 964. I then bought a 2005 997S and "started driving more carefully". BORING!!! I then purchased my current 2007 GT3 and thought, wow, I really don't want to hurt this either as it cost some coin. Well.............., three years later and in my second year of ownership of the GT3, I am well over the crash and now really figuring out how this GT3 thing works. These are amazing machines and will be better than I will ever be. Get an RS (non-center lock) and drive like we know you can. Hope to see you guys soon pal.
