A 1500 hp 997 only goes 291kph (177mph) in a standing mile and set the mile record for that day? My bone stock 996 did 158 in a standing mile with the front license plate in place. Something's not right.

Agreed. Hell I trapped 126 mph in a E60 M5 with a 150 NOS shot (584 rwhp).
Lets see an UGR TT Lambo stage 3R run. As straight line monsters these UGR Lambos run > 250 mph in the standing mile.
Something it not right here regarding HP and mph.

Realize how hard it is to hookup a 1500bhp 911 from zero to a.quarter mile? These cars are not designed as such.

A Panaera would have better go of putting down that much power. That and if you could do it in an "L" version with a longer wheelbase would help too.

Certain those tires couldnt help that much from stand still regardless if they were 18" Hoosiers.

BS dyno session. Was this ia Gen 1 or Gen 2 997 Turbo block? (ie Metzger or 9A1). Me thinks it's the latter.
