My 1st GT3...

Tks all !
I really love the feel of this GT3. No whenever I jump back on to my '12 997.2S, it seems sooooooooo soft !!.....
The sound this thing produces is absolutely toxic.
Here' a small clip of how it's sounding, on a high-speed pass. This was a local track day at a small track nearby organized by the local Porsche club last May. My wife shot this small video of the GT3, back then we took our C2S there, had no clue this GT3 would be ours now.
1st passer-by is a 997.2 Turbo S Cab. 2nd is my GT3; then 3rd another Turbo Cab, and 4th a GT2.

1st Month, Impressions
I've had the car for about a month so far. At the rate I'm using it, I should average about 12k km's (7,500 miles) /year. My other 2 cars (Cayenne and '12 Carrera S) aren't getting much use since...
There are obviously compromises one must consider to have a GT3 as a DD (like the harsher ride and the fact that I'm using the front air lift button about 10 times a day, and oh yes, the fact that I'm now twice as **** about finding adequate parking...), but other than these minor inconveniences, the rewards are simply amazing. I just can't get enough of the wonderfully tactile steering feel of this car. The gearbox is otherworldly. The exhaust sound intoxicating. The grip... the grip....
Whenever I now get into my Carrera S (a car I bought new less than 2 years ago, very well equipped, then added a sweet AWE exhaust on it) and compare it to the GT3, the first impression is how much more comfortable and "plush" riding the Carrera S feels !! Then come the downsides... the Carrera's brakes now seem as if they were made of a soggy sponge-like material... the response from the accelerator pedal feels plain dull... the available rev range feels like a fraction of the GT3's... and the PKD gearbox - even on sport mode - resembles nothing more than a souped-up "slushbox". These are uneasy feelings, since I love my Carrera S, but this GT3 is really, absolutely, on a totally different level.
On my daily route, there's one particular high-speed highway curve, which every now and then, I enjoy taking a bit hard (whenever no other cars, or any enforcement folks are around, of course..); it's a fast slight downhill, then sweeping left; with the Carrera S, entering the point to start the left turn at anything over 100mph requires a good degree of "intestinal fortitude"... On the GT3, entering the same turn at 120mph+ then accelerating hard out, is a straightforward task.
Specially rewarding is the fact that this car is so satisfying to drive, even at lower speeds. I don't have to be finding a perfect B-road on a Sunday morning, driving at 7/10ths on sport-plus mode to get a thrill on this car. Everything feels perfectly mechanical, all the time, at any speed. I also enjoy the fact that its so well equipped for a GT3; being a DD, the creature-comfort bits are actually quite important to me.
I think this is a real keeper !!!

A few side-by-sides with my Carrera S.
Atlas Gray Vs Basalt Black
The Carrera S is a 2012 997.2 S with PDK. I know the PDK in the new 991 GT3 is supposed to be a miles better PDK, but after getting used to the manual box on the 997.2 GT3, I can't fathom the though of a 991 PDK being more fun to shift....

Thanks all for the comments
Black's always been my choice colour on my cars, though the Atlas Grey has really been growing on me since I got it on my 1st ('09) 997.2 S.
I have yet to take the GT3 up to the 3.000 meter + heights of the nearby mountains, I'm also curious on how it'd perform at altitude, though my fear is mainly of the (really bad) shape those high up roads are in, considering this car's (low & hard) suspension...
The exhaust setup I've got on the GT3 is the full Cargraphic Stage 6 w/ ECU remap. It keeps the use of the sport button, only now it toggles between "very loud" and "insane" puts a childish grin on my face every time I commute to the office (specially when going through the 3 high-speed tunnels on the daily route).
