RS/S 5 rear seats aren't great, we're empty nesters so not an issue. My wife's S4 is much better for people hauling but the supercharged V6 is boring and sounds like a Honda.

Imo Audi really dropped the ball with the engine. It's more or less the same as the RS4 and 4.2 R8. They should've put a boosted V6/8 in it. The weight over the front end likely would have been less and they could have pumped the marketing machine as going back to their quattro roots.

If they brought back a RS4 Wagon, I would buy it today....getting bored of the E90M3.

Finally coming to the US? A neighbor has had one for about a year now.

Got excited thinking the OP might have meant RS4 - I, too, would buy one tomorrow to replace my long gone S4 (with MT) wagon.

Cash in hand I have been after my dealer and lobbying Audi for a year now to get a real wagon here...ie) RS4 or RS6 Wagon. But so far nothing...I even looked at using one of the NHTSA & EPA approved RI to bring one in but they quoted me around $20K and I am afraid making a Frankenstein...

The car is pig fat heavy and if it's like my prior B7 RS4 it is a car with no soul.
The RS4 had ZERO heart as a sports car. Got tired of E46 M3's eating my lunch on straight line pulls.
The car is "pretty" but had no feel and was useless.
The acquisition was a total waste of money.

MB just announced pricing for the C63 AMG edition 507 for about $70k. I'd rather this than the Rs5. Torque baby!

Problem is, the only people in the US that really want a 500HP wagon are enthusiasts, and there just aren't that many here to support it. We'd much rather buy SUVs for family haulers, not wagons. Ah well.

I didn't think we were getting that over here....yes, that would be one of the last great NA motors.

The S65 in the E90 is a wonderful motor on the track, but around town it's pretty annoying.

All modern Audis look incredible effeminate and vain. Too me they just scream 'look at me'.

I have over 100k miles on my B7 RS4. It's a fantastic daily driver. Good performance, low key good looks, comfortable but bad mileage. The carbon build up issue is now a $250 clean up every ~25k miles. The car is not a track car. Nowhere near the performance, durability, excitement of GT3/RS. It is a pig of a car that under steers even with Stasis/Ohlin coilovers. It also eats pads, rotors, tires at a high rate.

I hear that MB will be bringing an AWD E63 Wagon to the US...If that is the case, then I am all set since I need AWD!!! (The old E63W was RWD)
