I was at this Cantrell Motorsports event too. Roland, it was nice to meet you, as well as others who attended. I think I was out in the same session with you on Tuesday afternoon and had the honor of getting passed by the same Cup car. Below is a clip showing that car from another perspective. This was my first time at Thunderhill as well. By the end of the second day, I was picking up speed, but was a few seconds off your pace in my 996 GT3. I do, however, have the distinction of being the loudest car out there, with a nice custom exhaust by Charles Dundon. Early on the first day, I was meatballed with a 106 db, which I remedied by adding some crude turn downs that I clamped to the tailpipes and aimed in a leftward direction. I don't know how much it "quieted" the car, but apparently it must have dropped the measured readings to the 103 threshold or less. Whew. It was great fun to run that track and I look forward to doing it again.

Hi Rob,
I didn't see you out there on Tues but I needed to bail early to catch my flight back to Seattle. Your car was definitely loud!! I was definitely worried about busting the sound limit, esp. since overcast and plenty of humidity in the air.
FWIW, the Thunderhill folks seem very empathetic to louder cars but -- as mentioned in another thread -- they'd rather enforce at 103db rather than have the situation get escalated to where they get regulated down to the stupidly low 92db like what Laguna / Mazda has in place now.
-Roland.
