Brake cooling rings are supplied with Z51 equipped cars for improved cooling on the track and are among the items the corvette owners manual urges for track prep. Also recommended is a change out of the oil to 15-50w like Mobil 1. Just hit 1500 miles on my C7. Going to Ron Fellows Spring mountain track level 2 class in May in Las Vegas to drive their C7s.
Meanwhile I am waiting for better weather for my GT3 997.1. This will be 2nd full season tracking this car (12 x a season). First date 4/11 with the local Porsche club. Had a great time at Daytona this year watching the Porsche 911 RSR and GT Daytona classes along with the C7R Corvette.

2 attached pages... seems like a pain to do. Perhaps an afterthought by the engineers due to brake fade.

I have yet to sit in one but it does look like they finally brought the Interior up to Snuff. Let's just hope that within Six months of driving the damn car **** doesn't start loosening up and you start hearing funny sounds from around the cabin that will never be diagnosed.
I just don't want Jeremy Clarson to break a bit or bob of the interior like he did with the last iteration while driving it like a YARBO he always is. Damnest fool ever to step in a car and he has a job reviewing them because he is somehow funny?

To be fair, my 997.2rs (3.8) had all sorts of stuff loose and the dealer had to fix the rattles (I was second owner). On the 4.0, only the center console lid for lighter socket has a slight rattle when open but still. Also, on the M5, I had the glove compartment and sunroof that rattled. Its not unique to corvettes is what I am saying.

I think it's time for me to fly to Ron Fellows if you get to drive the car hard and till the tank is empty, that should be a good test.
I'll look at their website.
Where can we so driving schools with the new GT3? Oh wait....

Don't believe the lies that the "Interior is as good as the Europeans". Set your hopes a little lower. It is still a GM product. Just shut the driver side door and watch the door panel shake and move about.

Those rotor cooling rings are weird. How in the heck does that thing cool the rotors? Can't you just use a better brake fluid? Does the new Vette really have that bad of brake cooling. What a major pain to take those rings on and off every month for track events....so confused!

I am going to Las Vegas mid May to level 2 Ron Fellows school . I will be asking such questions before I track my C7 in earnest. Meanwhile the GT3 is ready to go. Just waiting for a break from the rain (Seattle).
