is your former car the orange you have in your Avatar?

The one for sale (Rahals) has front lift, blue tooth, ipod, painted nipples and full leather. No PCCB, no wart, no nav. I think it has the right seats but not sure.

When the North Houston one listed for 325K sold in a couple of days of listing, this one will go pretty fast. Wish I would have bought one in PTS in 2011 at MSRP, wow!

I see my cars as tools for enjoyment and not as investments but I'm sensing the following analogy developing:

Mezger GT3 ~ 993
RS 4.0 ~ 993 Turbo S

The Mezger GT3 may even surpass the 993 due to its connection to racing (Cup).

EDIT: It's what the market is saying about the new 991 GT3/RS.

Folks cars aren't investments. Owning a car is like owning raw land, maybe it will be worth more but maybe not when sold.

Yes the car for sale is the one in my avatar, my specs. I sold it to Rahal. Has the right seats.

In Germany right now, took a new 991 GT3 out today with one of the guys from Weissach who lives in my town. Guys, this car rocks The shifting is absolutely amazing...I like manual (still have a 2008 GT2 which I plan on keeping) but can't wait until I get my 991. I am sure after some are out and people use it for the first time, they will want one. 4.0 can't be replaced, ultimate collector status.

Fair question, I might not be doing other 4.0 owners a favor.

Just not trying to sell it very seriously. I just parked it there while I have to focus on work and the car out of sight and DE out of mind till December looks like.

Had several very reasonable offers but not at full asking price and I seem to get really uncomfortable every time it gets an offer, sweaty even..

Waiting for the dealer to call me to tell me to get my car out of the showroom LOL.
We haven't been able to connect the last week and I wont be home for a few weeks;-)

High miles
Tracked

Don't shoot the messenger..that's just how it is. Most "collectors" looking to spend $50-$100k over msrp want super low mile, moderate to high option car.

LOL, yes and that too, but i'm surprised that it does not seem to matter to plenty of buyers who I guess will take it to the track.
The car is sitting on worn out MPSC, cracked PFC rotors and metal to metal brake pads and VBOX on board LOL.

On the other hand what would it be worth in 4 years and another 20-30K miles, still covered under CPO. I bet very little depreciating regardless.

To sell the car, I would make it all OEM but I have to keep the car ready to go to the track for now for my own sanity.

Default Black 4.0

Well, I guess my 4.0 is a permanent resident in my garage. It seems right at home next to my Green '07 RS both with black wheels. I know I should drive them more, but now I'm getting paranoid. My yellow '04 GT3 is my daily and I've almost lost it twice due to reckless drivers and of course, the cops love me as well.

Yeah, the sad part is that this is how I'm feeling about a lot of my cars now.
