I don't run out but I'm getting within 500 rpm heading into the final turn I think.

Thanks for the information Andrew, at the end of the day, it's like the old Native American saying: "It's not the arrow, it's the Indian"

Different gearing might be worth a few tenths but your driving is worth way more. Very well done!

This was my first week-end out with the car and first time with PCAGGR. I have to say that I felt that the event was very well run, kept on schedule and very smooth execution all around.

By the end of the week-end, I was getting pretty comfortable with the car. Nothing like some of you but still managed to get 2:10 with old R888.

Here is a few shots of my car and setup (quite modest compared to some of you guys ). Hoping some of you guys stop by to say hello next time you see me at the track. I'm from San Diego so normally hang out at Buttonwillow, Willow Spring and Chuckwalla.

I had an awesome week-end and absolutely love this car
Great meeting you at BW. If you can do the long haul, come see us at Thunderhill or Laguna. Working to get GGR back to Sears Pt sometime also.

Yes! What's it been, since 2009 since we've run there? Thanks again Tim for your efforts with the club!

Here's one more vid, this one from the TT (2:04.8). The track was quite hot by this time and I am on 2 HC R6. Way better grip this time but was actually slower than the previous video posted by a few tenths.

So many have told me having ho's is like going down a road of no return....Track with DRL often and would love to play with him on the track. So tempted, yet afraid of this addiction. Then, at BW last wkend, I witnessed locking pins binding on a GT3 with R compounds tires more than half of the time, including fronts. Right now on street tires, I only have to deal with right rear locking pin issue most often. Had to tighten it to about 475-500 ft-lb to prevent binding. So envious of the RS guys without such issues even on ho's.

i dunno what is going on with the the yellow GT3 pin binding. this just isn't a problem on most RS cars I know of or even most GT3s. But you and montoya with the yellow cars get it every time! I don't know that tires are the root cause since it happens to you and montoya and you guys are on completely different tires, from street to full slick.

Guys - chime in if you have an opinion on this. Who has pins that regularly bind? When you find them bound up, is it easy to loosen the nut with the breaker bar?

Thanks John. I will gladly admit you were right about 911's. But I still haven't had the heart to sell the 951S, had a friend there driving it this weekend in red group with me- sure was fun watching it disappear in my rear view mirror instead of the other way around!
