Andreas Preuninger interview - Interesting point of view from 2011
Watching this piece of interview, made me wonder what actually changed in Porsche's perspective of what a GT car should be.
Enjoy and please post your comments
On this 'Part 2' Please pay attention to his impressions about the PDK .... mind boggling

AP should consider a career in politics!

The Kool-Aid crowd on the 991 board has not been around the block yet... Most are new to Rennlist.
Times are changing... I think I am with Rad (NJ-GT) -and am now coveting an 08/09 Ferrari Scudaria.... Perfect track car. A 4.0 GT3 RS right next to it would be nice as well....

They need to replay this to AP in an interview and ask him why the new GT3 contradicts everything their 800 surveyed customers indicated to them regarding PDK and electronic gizmos.... full stop...

^ I couldn't agree more. In fact, a number of us on another thread discussing PDK versus manual for the new GT3 indicated that the key to a manual transmission was the level of engagement that the manual transmission brings and this is EXACTLY what he says is a benefit and what GT3 drivers want. An optimized PDK is fine, but anyone who wants and enjoys a manual will typically not be satisfied by the PDK. I know I am not now and will not be.

Thanks for reposting the video - enjoyed watching it again. Like how AP reviews the development process.

No questions that they have the ability to make the best out of it, but just let us decide which one we want.

It's funny how they also forget to say that the GT2 RS is a carbon copy of Olaf's car itself, developed by Manthey to begin with.
Of course not expecting him to say it, but just giving credit to where it's due.
Would also be interesting to compare the GT3 RS rear up right to the GT2 RS, as he states they are different parts.
John, do you have access to it ?
Possible to know if it was a geometry change ?
