Default Any tips for Watkins Glen?

Running there on Mon and Tues of next week.

Didn't work where I could bring my car, so I rented an E30 race car. One of those arrive and drive deals. The guy I'm going with is bringing a couple 2010 cup cars and he says I can use one of those as well. Should be a blast.

Any tips? Never been, but heard it's a wonderful track.

That's Peter's mantra. I'm just borrowing it. But since he no longer participates in the hobby I guess I will make it mine

There are plenty of vids. Just do a search on YT.

And don't stare at the blue bushes.

yeah, what he said. seriously, (hopefully) you've never gone off track so far in your hobby so aside from knowing where your outs/runoff is, why worry about what's off track at the Glen vs. any other track? point is, if you focus on something, you WILL hit it eventually! awesome track, have fun!

I'm at Sebring tonight. Last minute call, I should be working all Saturday and Sunday but could not help myself.

WG arrive and drive sounds awesome but no way I can be gone during the week if I should not even take of during the weekend. You will love it great track, I never got fast there. WG is on top of my last of US tracks I need to go back to. If I don't ship the car to Germany that is where I will start next year.

I think I've seen a Gopro laying around in the Rustang.

You trailer should be free of charge any time I need it.
My trailer that towed your RS about 10K miles around the country is at the polisher place and getting re wrapped this weekend so we are driving the Rustang and bringing truck to tow it back. Or AAA. Or maybe I'll take the BBS off and leave it there.

It should be broken after the first 2 sessions so likely back in the office by 2 PM...

There is some turn-by-turn commentary here: http://www.trackpedia.com/wiki/Turn_...ins_Glen_track. There are lots of YouTube videos out there, too. However, there is nothing like driving it.

You are right of course, but it will break and I'll likely be driving home by noon, or drink beer.
Anyway, back on Topic, I should be at WG in the 4.0

If it was up to me we'd load the whole DE Cup crew onboard and bring some entertainment from the Mons

I've spent my fair share of time mowing grass.

Chin. Don't know anyone from the north region, but assuming it's a good crowd based on other events I've run with them in different states.
