Mike, I just had my clutch master cylinder done a couple weeks ago after seemingly going bad... After a recent track day at PI where clutch was faultless, on the way home the first inch of clutch travel went soft and by half way home, clutch pedal went to floor. Pulled over and pumped it and it went solid again... dealer diagnosed it as clutch master.... They mentioned a couple cup cars had recently had same prob in their care... Been fine since.

Talked to erp and they can do the triple if three of us sign up for it for 4k. I think the double would be less. He said the clutch will rev without issue and will last for. 40-50k before adjustment...

I'll call gmg today as well.

excellent thread - Ill probably go this route once this new 4.0 setup dies. I just got my car back after a 2 month repair for a failed 3.8RS PP. Mind you they also did the cam actuators at the same time and some other stuff since the motor was out (pinned coolant lines, oil fittings, etc).

Guys, I said it before, and will say it again, I've seen some nasty failures on aftermarket clutches used on these cars, some of you still have warranty and some still covered under warranty.
If thinking about spending 4-5K on a clutch, just go with a proven set of Tilton. Stay with Tilton or Sachs.
The odds will be on your side.

Sachs's makes HD Pressure Plates that will bolt right into our existing setups which handle 656 lb-ft, for such high clamp load though, I think the rigid hub disc is a good idea.

Sach's makes these kits for our cars.

Not much more than a stock unit. Probably the route I'll go when it's time to replace. 25k miles on my stock unit and still going strong.
