Well, I have heard some too..but this car is not for Bentley and Rolls Royce collectors..

I dont care if its unpractical..this is what a supercar MUST be...

About the car, well, I can't think of any good reason why one would spend that kind of money when he can still buy the best sport car ever made with what? 1/3 of it? Something like that.
Definitely not a decision to be based on value or cost. Anyone buying one of these probably already has at least on Carrera GT in bubble wrap and they're justing adding to their collection. Fine by me. Helps Porsche pay the bills.

As far as car for car comparison goes, I think the Porsche engineers must be looking at McLaren (I think it's no heir to the throne of the F1) and the Ferrari and surely the Porsche engineers are sending some rather sharp emails to the design team.

Anyway, Google I/O keynote starting ... maybe with GOOG at $910, I can afford a LaFerrari ... : ) ... nah ... I'd still rather an RS 4.0 and keep the million.

Yeah, I really don't get this car al all.
I mean, it's always breezy at Sebring..

On a side note, anyone interested in a Fisker for $65K?

I don't get the breezy reference. Please dumb it down for us left coast types ... we're mostly worried about the dust bowl conditions we're facing for the next six months ... a cool Spring afternoon and 93 degrees on the Freeway today ... next rain forecast: 2014.

As for Fisker, at $65K, I'll buy whatever he builds next. Hopefully something going back to his genius as a car designer, not as a business entrepreneur. Really sad to see that collapse. I'm told there's a company preparing to offer a V8 conversion for the Karma. If only the build quality of the Karma was (a lot) better. It's a pretty awesome car, just a really sh!thouse power train.

I know you are kidding, I have to read half your posts with a dictionary, but always worth reading
Breeze = no smog = no need for emission control in Florida.
The water is rising but the beach is still almost a mile from my door, even further from Sebring so we're good. We did not move to Florida to be cold.

Catalytic converters and hybrids are for the left coast I thought but I am shocked at how many Tesla S I see cruising around here.

Fisker with a Mercedes V8 TT drive line would be great, such a pretty car.
hell, it already has a place for the SLR exhausts!

I got it.... No thanks.

I was invited to four previews over the course of the last few years. I went to see it at the first one in Monterey. I had a chance to speak to one of the developers. I told them why I did I did not like like it. Not that I could afford it anyways.
Not sure why they keep sending me this info. How many times does someone have to say NO, and I cannot afford it ?

They did. I kept drinking the wine they had. Good looking females handing out refreshments. Porsche marketing at its best.
