Is carbon buildup an issue for DI engines in Porsche cars as well? I had an '08 RS4 which is notorious for this.

Wow 3600lbs wet? That's just a little less than my 4door m3. I hope it's not true.

PDK clutch slippage and wear........it's gonna happen and be an issue from what I've read.

By the way, Road & Track just arrived yesterday: 50 yr anniversary of the 911. First drive of a 991 GT3: "We like to work for our lap times" - they want the manual.

Great thread... I'm not a fan of kool-aid, and I think most of the kool-aid drinkers are not track rats...

Four biggest 991 GT3 issues IMHO:
1) DFI-engine carbon build-up
2) PDK clutch slippage
3) RWS issues
4) CL issues

To quote Eleanore Roosevelt: "America is all about speed. Hot, nasty, bad-*** speed."

So yes, I may buy a 991 GT3 at some point.
