Cost of a Honda civic + 2500 labor + 300 freight

Decoded I would say around $20k all in
(Base civic is about $17k)

Great post

Glad you guys find the post useful and hope we all learn something from it. It's money well spend when we can make our components stronger and car go faster

Yes, total cost was close to $20K including rear axles and central bolt replacement. I love driving the Cup car and it's an experience like no other and hope to improve on my own driving skill to make these gearset last much longer. As far as the M3 in the end of the video ... I feel sorry for the driver and I am sure I gave him a good scare

Wow. Great post!

20k for tranny rebuilds is too rich for my blood.

Hopefully the 991CUP is more reliable.

So most of this damage was prior to pmna autoblipper? Do you feel autoblipper is helping or hurting?

Great post mikymu! I also second the fantastic customer service from Bill Rader Motorsports, even with the quick turnarounds. Highly recommended.

Major overhaul like this is always expensive and subsequent refresh will be
cheaper

Yes, autoblipper help conserve gearbox and Bill Rader agree. The damage to the gearbox started with weak dated gearset and got worst when the large pinion nut came lose

Mikymu, I like the way you used man logic and hid the price behind an anonymous comment so its coded from the 'other half' lol.

+997 Cup

Thanks mikmyu.

And $20K isn't terrible considering the scope of work you had done.

Subtract the cost of the axles and you will see who offers the most cost effective Cup sequential gearbox service in the business.
