Default DE Cup at Barber Last Weekend

Small turnout. Just me, Red Bear, and Paver. Not like the good ol' days.

Fun time regardless. Wonderful track, wish it was closer.

Coasting around the track on Sat looking for Red Bear (Grady). I got spanked.

Round 2 with Grady on Sunday. Did a little better, but he's FAST. I'm guessing he was getting me by a half second a lap. Between that and a couple off line passes on my part, he really put a solid gap between us.

A friend of mine was getting some training in his cup. He's new to the cup car and his first time at Barber. Had a good time lapping with them.

Had an off out of the kink. Scarier than it looks. Went a little faster than I should have and ran out of talent.

He sure is. I was pumped to even stay this close since this is my second event there in the GT3 and we were on the same tires.

Have you guys been to Barber before on the same setups? What was your time delta? I can't wait to try that new and improved diamond cut surface. Grand-Am picked up 1.5-2 seconds, Continental and GT. What tires were you guys on?

Oops Deputy forgot to tell us about the faster surface and he pretends to not run on slicks.

Wasn't planning on it, but you are racing right? What does your weekend schedule look like? May stop by on Fri or Sat.

Somebody's has to do it since Peter quit. Although I'm out of $ now, so no new vids for a while. Then again I always say that after a track weekend and somehow I end up back out there anyway....

Yep. He goes like stink. Good driver, and a hell of a nice guy.

Grady and I were on Hoosier R6. I didn't notice a difference in grip between last year and this year. I'm sure if you were in a car with full aero and slicks it would be more apparent. For a mere mortal like myself in a street car it wasn't perceptible.

Like I said, the surface grip wasn't perceptible. And for the 19th time, I wasn't on slicks. I managed to destroy your best time in a .2 RS in my old POS 40k mile RumbleChicken non RS without mounting the expensive rubber so I didn't bother wasting any cycles on them

Grady mopped the floor with you last year. I'm within a half second or so of Grady's RS this year, same track same tires. Maybe it's time for you to retire. You had a good run. Golf is a nice hobby
