Body shop called and invited me over to see the "cut-in". I guess this is painting around the doors and hoods. I didn't go again today -- too much traffic.
I asked them to take a few phone pics in the morning before they spray it.
They said tomorrow they will spray it. Delivery to shop on Thursday. Then 5 working days (and nights) to get it done.

If it was easy, it wouldn't be as special.

Delivered on time or a day late, it will still be a truly amazing gift! The uncertainty adds to the excitement Go Clarke!!! I'm on the edge of my seat for you...

while staring at the car and the amazing paint job/color I was talking to Charlie and Omar (owners of Intersport) about the next project - the 1973 RSR tribute (with 996 GT3 drivetrain from a wrecked car I bought last fall)... I said I have given up on finding a good 73' tub and am okay with using a 964 tub instead. And look what they had sitting there for sale. Pulled the trigger in less than 10 seconds.

heading to WGI today with Red Bear for DMTD - won't be back until midnight on Thursday. This is killing me to not be there to watch the progress. Picking it up Friday and trailering it to my Dad for the weekend...
sorry but no more updates until it is over.

I hope they finish it. It looks really nice, a perfect driver's car, what a great gift!
