DIY String Alignment With RSS Set-up
Wanted to see if anyone has done a string alignment on a GT3 with the full RSS Tarmac Series rear set up. Specifically with respect to the rear upper dog bones. How to adjust them and still keep track of both camber and toe. Obviously on the factory set up these dog bones are not adjustable.
Any advice on this would be great.
Thanks

Brent,
My advice is that you keep the Upper control arms (dog domes) with OEM length, and use the lower control arm (shims) to adjust camber.
Let me know if you need further help, just give me a call tomorrow.
Eddie.

+1. I've been told the advantage of the upper dog bones is getting rid of the rubber but that they should never deviate from the factory length. Doing so can change the whole bump curve of the rear suspension.

Great advice. This is what I had thought. When I put the dog bones in I adjusted them using the factory bolts to the same length as the factory links.
Thanks for the offer Eddie. I may take you up on it. Left side is done. Will be doing the right side tomorrow after work. Alignment this weekend!
I also got a slip in the mail stating the 75a trans mounts have arrived!
