Default I've joined the brotherhood

I ended up buying PVGolfer's GMG car. It's not in the white I wanted nor a perfect garage queen, but the car is in great shape, PPI was clean, and zero overrevs. Ended up driving from Socal back up to Norcal. That was NOT a fun drive. I haven't driven a manual car for about 4 yrs, but luckily didn't stall once nor missed a shift so far.

Some observations:
  • Clutch pedal = holy moly stiff! After 20 minutes of driving I stopped by an In&Out and when I got out, the bottom of my left foot was a bit sore.
  • Rattles = the sunroof inner alcantara liner rattles at certain rpms or possibly different resonance frequencies. Is this normal?
  • Noise = It has the GMG bypass so it was pretty darn noisy. The Toyo tires picked up a lot of road noise too.
  • Shifter = I wish it was perfect like my previous S2000 I used to have.
  • Performance = GREAT!
  • Seats = I need to add a small cushion at the back bottom to give myself some lumbar support!
  • Heel toe = I'm starting to think I'm just not anatomically capable of doing this!

Onto the photos. All washed and cleaned now:

I LOVED the s2000 shifter. I haven't had any other car that comes even close. I figured a porsche might be equal if not better. Darn. I wonder if that Numeric shifter gets close. I want that rifle bolt feel.

Yeah the fronts are carbon fiber wide fenders that's supposed to fit up to 10" wheels. The front tires are 265.

Are all the cushion pieces velcro'd on? Are you saying I can pull out the lowest back cushion and replace with a thicker one?

Sunroof was closed during my drive, but there was buzzing/rattling coming from it. When I put my hand up there and apply some light pressure, it stops.

Speaking of motons, the left(driver's side) rear on may have leaked in the past because there's dirt/dust that's accumulated near the bottom of the canister. You can see it in the pic from the rear.

Cup gearbox cables are a solid upgrade and money well spent; congrats on the car!

To be honest the s2k's feel is indeed rather unique. (But only the feel )

Best,

Congrats. Agree on S2000 shifter. It's awesome. GT3 makes up for it in many other ways though.

Cup rear bumper and E88s with fat front fenders. Nice!
