You definently don't want to run 315/18 Hoosiers as their load rating is only 1356#'s The PS2 that came on your car are XL rated for 1874#'s. Sounds to me you got into a legal liability issue on load ratings.

yep, why not. just wonder now if I should order same nt01 in 275 for front like I did last season or try out ra1 in 275, those new ones.
I`ve heard kinda mixed reviews of that 'new' ra1 so not sure. nt01 did wear faster in front than ra1 in rear but I liked a bit better front stickiness of nt01.
I wonder if new 275 ra1 got firmer sidewalls than nt01, 275 nt01 felt kinda wobbly on a 9" wide rim... that was why I wanted to revert to 245/315 nt01.
well, I`ll give it some time to settle down now, I am not going to run anywhere until mid may most likely anyway.

I'm on my 4th set. It's been a great tire. I've hit the grip limit but they're still super fun and very fast. Best bang for the buck DE tire, hands down. I can get 5-8 days out of rears depending on the track.
I like this place and have bought from them before but they don't appear to have the rears in stock:

Even more 996 Turbo's too, on track and street, for as long as I can remember. And TT's are fat. Since 2006-2007. Have yet to hear of one related problem. We have run them to the cords set after set.

I guess there have been a lot of tread splice issues with Nitto of late. Had them on my M3 and the new owner was informed by Colin Cantrell (Cantrell Motorsports) who works on my car that they are unsafe due to a tread splice issue. I have used untold sets of NT01s without problem, but from comments on Bimmerpost this is not an isolated issue and people are postponing using the tire until it is resolved. This concerns me as I am running the NT01/ RA1 combination.
