Has this happened to anyone? Just noticed that my CF center console cracked near the ashtray. It just split for no reason. Will Porsche replace this if the car isn't under warranty?

I just pulled my CF center console to box it up before it fails... put in a black platic track thrash duty one
I doubt Porsche will replace it outside of warranty -- good luck to you

My CF center console has a crack in it because i leaned on it while installing a camera on my rear roll bar mount.
Pisses me off but alas it is just cheap faux carbon so what can one expect.
I have warranty but i doubt porsche would help since it would be wear and tear.
For OP case i highly doubt warranty.

Porsche CF is CRAP! They charge an absolute fortune for it and it commonly fails. Partly because it's a veneer over stock parts and not the base material itself.
My 996tt had over $9K of it all over the interior. It peeled on the dash bat wing, vent covers and console even though the car was a garage queen and hardly ever left out in the direct sunlight for any real length of time. I see now the tiny bit I have on my GT3 seems to be developing a 'wave' and the car only has 12K miles on it!
Good luck on getting it covered under warranty.
(Phew! I feel a little better getting that off my chest.)

EXACT same thing in my RS, split right by the ashtray. I hope it's covered under warranty.

If not warranted, repair it. Its not hard.Remove console, clean, scotch brite/etch the inner surface, drill the ends of the crack to stop it spreading then use some marine grade resin, with some fibre glass patch repair on the inside for strength then buff the outer/visible repair. You could also colour code the piece once repaired?
