Hope the wind dies down here for you.....that stacker is a giant sail and I dont think your F450 can handle the sway

Very nice addtion on the trailer! See if the guy will trade trucks for 20K as the F450 would be an easy sell. I can see us going to dinner in the big rig...just flip the keys to the valet and let them deal with the parking.

The 6.7 super duty won't have any trouble with 20K towing, but it will gulp down 8 or 10 mpg, and it takes "commitment" (as others have noted) to visit a truck stop and fill up 100 gallons at $4/gallon as part of the joy of a track day ... : )
ps. A toter-home in front of a triple spot car hauler has the advantage of "saves on hotel" and does a sip better than big pick-ups on cost per mile so long as you don't exceed load and length for license and scales …

I wonder if anyone has ever figured out the whole logistical "Everest" of setting up one of these rigs with a couple of track cars and one fun street legal car then touring across the US, onto a boat, across Europe and back? That, to me, seems "bucket worthy."

I'm not sure if it counts as "thought" or just raving lunacy, but I think having a "real" car and unlimited time to tour from track to track, pick the weather and visit for races, follow F1 and Moto GP across the planet. Though you'd be mistaken from some geriatric retiree in an expensive Winnebago, having three cars, I'm thinking a Cup, an RS and Cabrio or a Targa, it would justify the downside of being in a motor home. And for the long haul driving, perhaps hiring a driver so I can do other thing and just have the machinery assembled at the next track in a month or so …
