I planned to be the guinea pig with the NT-01 setup, but when ordering time came and it was time to pull the trigger, I...... ordered NT-01 245/40/18 fronts and NT 555RII 305/35/18 rears. The 555RII's are Rcomp, 100 rubber for road course tracking, just like the NT-01's. The overall diameters are correct. With the NT-01 rears, they are starting out a tiny bit too small, but then when the rear wears faster than the fronts, the front/rear OD incorrectness will get worse. I don't want to risk driving 8 hours to a track just to be in limp mode the whole time. I will report on how the NT01/NT555RII setup works.

I run this as my street tire actually, maybe one session I will use them and see what kind of lap time I can turn compared to my 305 Ra1's.

I tried with R888 245/305 and then thought 255/315 would be better and it was not better. The car felt a little better with the 245/305 combo. But at this point I'd take whatever Nitto would make that would be the correct fron tto rear overall diameter ratio for a 997.
On the other hand you 997.1 and .2 GT3 guys can turn off PSM and run the 245/315 size with out issues. My GTS is Carrera based PSM and can't truely be turned off.
If the PSM is like on the 996 then you can just unplug the connector going to the pre-charge pump. PSM is gone and ABS remains...

I don't know if it is like that. Where is the connector and pre-charge pump?

I run the NT-01 on my 2007 GT3 in 245/315 sizes with no problems. Actually
like them better than RA-1. Goog thing as I am on my last set of RA-1s. Have a second set of NT01 waiting in the wings. Last DE used the Toyos as the track was wet/rainy. I will need to find some tires to replace the toyos when I use them up as I prefer the toyos in the wet.

MPSS are poretty fast and hold up very well, when I run out of 335 RA1's I will try to make them work as a DE tire!

I only have 18s for the car. I might have to buy 19s but want light 19s. Sold the original heavy Porsche wheels and use CCW and Fikse now.

BFG Rival's are better. Come new at 7/32nds tread depth. It's the most aggressive "street" track tire you can buy. 245-40-18 and 335-30-18 sizes.

would be nice if somebody could test bfg rival against nt01 on the track and share results.
i am not sure how an utqg 200 tire can compete with a true r-comp like nt01 but who knows.
