Thanks for the tip about the swaybar!

There was a change of plans regarding the front end, eventually I did get the GT3 RS front with the fender extensions instead of the normal gen.2 GT3 front that I were supposted to go with. Tried to change the width for my upcoming ADV.1s but when I realised that I could get wider wheels for the front, the wheels had already been made.

But, this got me thinking. Maybe I should leave the ADV.1 wheels for the street and get another set of wheels in 18" for the track? I know there's like a million threads about similar deals but what tire would You recommend (make, model, width front/rear) for a dedicaded set for the track? I have been using the MSPC+ (235/35R19 front and 305/30R19 rear) both for street and track use and are quite happy with the overall performance. Don't know if there's sizes in 18" to match my somewhat strange setup with the wide body front and the narrow body rear. The Hoosier are probably the fastest but they're illegal to drive on the street over here, so sadly they are out of the equation as I don't want to start trailering the car to the track.
Thanks again guys, you've been to a lot of help with the build already and your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Rest assure all you Rennlisters. Even though I´ve done a lot of effort on the bodywork and the styling, the car will be tracked as before.

Nicely done! I have to admit i always have a soft spot for the 997.2 RS look. Especially the wing.. I am considering this mod on my 997.1 RS.

Finally got around to install the ADV.1 wheels. The finish is sweet and the stance is really nice. Totally satisfied!

Hi all,

First trackday and shakedown done and done! I had some challenges with some of the technical mods and got the car from the shop only a week ago. To set some before and after benchmarks for the mods done I went to my hometrack which I know as the back of my hand, so the perfect place to set some reference points (i thought) . It's summertime over here and it has been quite hot all summer. Our tracktime started 15.00 and 15 minutes before it started pouring like crazy. I rained so much that the track went from dry to a series of puddles in half an hour. So much for setting reference laps..

I had a set of last years MSPC:s installed which started to be at the end of their lifecycle, perfect for easy laps and setup testing. Well for the dry at least

Ended up driving in the wet for an hour and a half, mostly playing around and carefully testing that the engine worked as planned. The driving was mostly drifting around and playing with the shifts, brakes etc. Everthing works fine, but the setup was still a mystery.

There was a friend at the track with his camera, a couple of shot is found in here:

http://senna.galleria.fi/kuvat/Ahven...T3+18.07.2013/

The track is an old 60s layout with a lot of inclined corners, height differences and walls all around the track without any exit zones or sandtraps, kinda like a mini Nurburgring

Today i went to the the Räyskälä airport for to do some testing of Crosskarts and went there with the GT to set a couple of laps on the dry. The setup works really well. I was concerned about the alignments (have 3,5 camber in the rear and only 2,5 in the front) but it works beautifully. Especially in the slower corners where the old setup was quite understeery, the new setup turns in really well and due to the new Cup diff and the aggressive camber I really get the power down all through the bends.
