All the parts are ordered and now it´s just going to be a long wait until the snow has melted and I can take the GT in use.

Exterior:

- Gen.2 front and rear bumper
- Gen.2 front and rear lights + AP controll boxes
- Gen.2 RS rear wing (carbon with RS Green ends)
- ADV.1 19" wheels in RS Green on MPSC+ tires
- RS Green mirrors
- RS Green towing hooks
- Vanityplates: NA-3.6

Interior:

- Black OMP 6-point harnesses with a HANS support for the helmet
- OMP Cup steering wheel with a snap-off hub
- Black OMP fire extinguisher
- AP-Design shifter http://apcardesign.server3.beclevera...hifter_4gr.jpg
- Peltor intercom system with headphones

Engine:

- Single mass RS flywheel and clutch
- Cup LSD
- FVD Software upgrade
- Cup exhaust with side muffler delete
- FVD solid engine mounts
- Sharkwerks coolant pipes
- New bearings in the whole engine
- New valve rockers
- Full service with BMC air filter

Suspension:

- Sharkwerk RSS Adjustable Rear Link Kit
- RSS Adjustable Toe Steer Kit
+ Adjusted corner weights and a super aggressive track setup

Other:

- FVD lightweight battery
- New steel discbrakes allround
- Ferodo 2500 brakepads
- Racing brakefluid
- Steel brakelines
- Numeric Racing shifter cables

The car is white and has the carbon seats and half rollcage installed from the factory (Clubsport package). I´ll think it will be a really nice combo with the white gen.2 exterior combined with the RS green details.

Will post some pics when the parts are installed. Can´t wait!

i priced out the 997.2 gt3 front end.. came to around $6500 in parts.. part of the major cost was the updated drl kit and fvd compatability kit.

i am surprised you would be willing to pay that just for updated looks!

Porka, the parts as original parts are more like 10 k (including front, rear, GT3 RS rear wing and lights. You would like to order the parts through Porsche Motorsport as they are original parts but still a lot cheaper due to Porsches subsidized prices for Motorsport teams.

The problem is that I live in a county that has an emission based car tax = car tax for a GT3 approx 50% on top of the car price after taxation. That would mean that if I bought a gen.2 it would be about 50k more expensive than the gen.1. With that in mind, the parts don´t seem to expensive anymore

Otherwise, the engine is out at the moment being tuned and the car is at the bodyshop at the moment to have the facelift done. Hoping to have the car ready in a couple of weeks.

Good luck with all that going on. When does your weather favor driving your GT3? Within the next month or two?

seapar, the normal season for driving sport cars in Finland is from easter and to late November. I did put about 10.000 km of DD on the GT3 last year during that time. Have a couple of longer trips (Nürburgring, Mantorp) planned so I'm hoping that I'll get to use it as much this season. For now I'm rolling around in my wife's Audi A1.

Have to give a recommendation on AP Car Design in Germany, a beautifully run shop with a lot of knowledge on Porsches. Good prices and great service!

Dont forget to replace the rear sway/anti-roll bar for the GT2 part ... I'd also put the cup car front splitter (with air ducts for brakes) on it ...

+1 for the champion and/or HRE wheels ...

Hi all,

Some pictures from the build:

Sharkwerks parts:

Painting of the sideskirts (the car had some stone chips):

New brakes:

The APC shifter:

The fitting of the new rear:

http://s1365.photobucket.com/user/Fi...tml?sort=3&o=4

The old bumpers are already sold:

http://s1365.photobucket.com/user/Fi...tml?sort=3&o=5

Fender extension:

Today I ordered a set of mk.2 carbon mirrors and some carbon canards.

The engine and gearbox is still out and the ADV.1 wheels are being made as we speak. The first trackday is on the 25th of May. I think it´s going to be a tight scheadule.

Cheers,

matias

Larry, cup lip is already in place, although without the brake ducts. Have to see if I´ll have to change this later to a version with more cooling for the brakes.

The swaybar, does the GT2 part make a big difference? Any idea on the price range for that part?

You should def get the cup lip with ducts ... more air to front rotors ... and as Alex points out the GT2 rear bar is around $200 ... and IMO is well worth the money, it really tames some of the initial turn-in understeer on the 7.1
