not trying to hijack the thread, but i do need some new brake pads!
For street driving yes stock is better. Stock pads don't cost that much...check Porsche Suncoast Parts website for stock pads and prices.

Also stock pads work better cold...like for your street driving...and race pads like Pagid Yellows and PFC08's work best hot...like on the track.
If you have dark colored wheels like my matt silver OZ or anyone with black wheels, brake dust is non existant... well.. i just cant see it so i think that it is super clean

My track wheels are OZ and are black but my street wheels are silver with a clear coat and on the drive to and from Barber I left the pfc08 pads in and the brake dust was darn near impossible to wash of the wheels. I don't find that issue with Pagid brake dust. Doesn't really matter as a track pad on my track wheels.

Tried the 01's this weekend and am liking them so far. The Pagids I took off the day before had about 65% pad thickness left and were falling off some. Max braking g's was equal to new blacks. The braking through the braking zone was more consistent than the blacks, which I always had to add more pressure to keep the same force. That made it really hard to blip the throttle easily, it was almost a chore. It was much easier with the 01's.

I will see how my rotor life is with them and how long they last, but so far, so good.

Wow the 01 has great bite but I think you will be chewing up a few rotors.

The 08 is great

I tried out 01's on my GTS...which has 996 Turbo brakes so not sure if you have changed your brakes out from stockbut we may use the same brakes? But yes the 01's had killer bite and yet you could still modulate them but not as easy as the Pagid yellow or the PFC08's. I found the PFC01 transferred a lot more heat to the caliper and really wore out the rotors about twice as fast as the Pagid Yellow I was using.

I need more rear brake bias for my Carrera based car. So Ive been using Pagid Yellow for fronts and Black for back brakes. I tire out PFC08 all around and they were good, slightly more rotor wear than Pagid Yellow but was thinking of using PFC08 front and 01 rears....thoughts?

I've been a PF guy for years, but I'm going to try Endless this year. First outing will be in a month - 3 days on tracks in Portugal wearing slicks.
I have run both the Endless mx72 pads on my car and also the pfc08/06 combo. Both are excellent pads with very similar braking capacity but the Endless pads were much more gentler on the rotors and ran cooler compared to the pfc pads. The downside of the endless pads is that they wear much quicker than pfc and their availability is sometimes sketchy. GMG carries endless.

That's odd. I have absolutely zero issue with washing pfc08 brake dust off my silver painted clear coated wheels. None...

This might be splitting hairs, but can anyone with experience comment about the difference in quantity and volume of squeak between Pagids and the PFC 08's. I curently have Pagids and they sound painful. More than just a squeak...it's a painful squeal.

I do 30 events per year, but I also drive it to work 2-3 days per week. It's really tough for me to get out of this car.

Thanks to 993 770 for asking this question too, and sorry to bring it up again.

No brainer .... PFC is quieter, last longer, and because you can use all the way down becomes also cheaper.
I never change them back to OEM pads on my own car.

When cold every race pad I have used on my own car squeals. Pagid, yes they make a lot of noise. The PF's not as loud, but they still let you know they are there.

It takes much longer before PFC starts squeeling and they dont do it as bad. I never bother to swap back to stock.
