Wanna911, I've used PFC97 PFC01 and PFC08...Plus Pagid Black and Yellows. The PFC01 have tremendous bite compared to others in my opinion. To me they feel like they would stand the car on it's nose...however they torn up the rotors extremely quick in my opinion. Hope this helps somewhat.

compare to RS29, PFC 08 has has same bite for me, but better modulation and you dont have to bed them in.

i have no patience bedding in pagids. either waste a session on track or risk getting arrested on fwy.

And the bite stays there to the last 2 mm of pad. Pagids no more after 50%.. So much cheaper too.

I never bed in Pagid Blacks, just go and run them. Tried bedding them at first and it felt no different. They do lose a little bit after the initial few runs and a lot of bite around 50% though. When they are new they are extremely strong though, that's what I'm looking for pagid black level bite (or more). Willing to see if PFC can beat out the Pagids, especially if it's backed up!!

I use to try and bed in Pagids on the street...long country road 5 miles from my house but I usually just do it at the Track and take warm up session at 5/10ths stay in the back so I don't brake check anyone. Always seems to work for me.
However I like how PFC stays consistent track days after track day. Pagids feels good for 1st track day and usually ok 2nd track day but after that it's like they heat cycle out.

After much good guidance from the fellow RLer's, I bought a set of PFC's in Nov, right after I stored the 4.0 for the winter. I am looking forward with much anticipation to swapping out those brake fade pagids 29's and trying the PFC's in our first DE in May.

I really never like pagid yellows. No bite whatsoever for me. The 996 tt brake booster runs off of vacuum pressure from the engine, not sure if the 997/gt3 is like that or not but it makes the pedal really dull and unresponsive. I have to mash to floor to get any real bite. So more is better. My brakes last longer than most because of short sessions so ill try a set and see. Thanks.

haha ya.. i was fading so much (even after bleeding the system thinking it was the fluid/air in the system), i was braking way earlier (probably safer than realizing that I ran out of room). I had few "oh crap" moments.. fading brakes moments are scary at my novice level...

Im just hoping my OEM rotors will last some time while im still in training. I only had my gt3 for 6 months and trying to get more track time.

You guys recommend to change to PFC rotors when my oem rotors needs replacement? Pros and cons on PFC rotors vs OEM? (other than cost)

PFC is my second favourite brand of brake pads, they are better than most other choices. Only pads I have found to be better that PFC are Endless. Much better in every area, but also much more expensive. Most VLN teams (I'm racing in VLN) run Endless though.

Which compound? I'm thinking about trying these as well. All I can find is N35S.

That compound doesnt seem too expensive.
