GT3's Are Bargains

I don't know which car you're talking about, but I'm guessing for $20k you'll spend more time fixing it than driving it.
Even if they made it $250k, they will sell every last one of them. I'm still a huge fan of the 996 GT3 for a track today. Shame they are so damn ugly. Guess you can't see that when you're sitting inside though

He's got that old ugly 996 Gt3 beater as backup, so no harm done.
At $250 you are wrong. If not for track durability you can have soo many more luxurious heavy, more HP, exclusive brands that the average buyer will be leaving the brand. Us track junkies will pay as long as it holds up better and is faster than all the other exotics. If not, we will be gone as well.
If you'd never track would you buy a 250k 911 over an R8, Aston, Lamborghini, fiat, spyker, Bentley, AMG's just to name a few??

I had less than $20k in the 95 M3 and it was very reliable but I wasn't the right car for NASA TTC. The replacement will be optimized for NASA TTD/PTD class and with the right drover should be a Hoosier generating machine. Besides it's time to try out Fun Wheel Drive.

Kind of an invalid argument... People did buy the $250k 911 and not for track, hence meeting your criteria. The GT2 RS is no boulevard cruiser, at least the spec is not geared that direction, yet that is exactly what most owners use it for, just like the other GT series cars. Track junkies, what I think a 20+trackday/year owner is, are the minority, and the further up the price scale you go the fewer there are.

The farmer won't need many repairs but it won't be fun FWD!!

Uggg. Forgot about those two fails. Overpriced to the hilt. And kind of ugly considering the overwhelming price tag. Money doesn't necessarily equate to common sense or taste.

Your right Mooty. After tax on residual, it is about equal but business car allowance paid half monthly for 3 years. So still come out ahead in the end.
